A survey of 72 pesticides used in 12 municipalities in Alsace<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Download Pesticides pr\u00e8s de chez nous: quelle toxicit\u00e9?<\/a><\/strong> (French only)<\/p>\n\n\n\n The survey consisted of listing the chronic effects on health of 89 pesticide substances<\/strong> used in 12 Alsace communes, according to 3 pesticide registers: the official European register, the Canadian SAgEpesticides register and the Pesticides Properties Database of the University of Herfortshire. The result is that official, regulatory, European information on the chronic health effects of pesticides, as presented to us on packaging labels, is seriously lacking. There is no trust to be had.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Over the years, we have seen a dribble of bans on pesticide substances classified as the most toxic (CMR), as if the other pesticide molecules, which are not currently in the spotlight, were acceptable (and not CMR or endocrine disrupters or neurotoxic\u2026). The merit of my work lies in having gone beyond such a focus (typically on glyphosate) by showing that the risks are much more diffuse than we are led to believe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Next, a look at the regulatory framework shows the failings<\/strong> and even the intellectual fraud<\/strong> behind the approval procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The agrochemical sector<\/strong>, with their LD50s and other animal tortures, are guilty of complicity in cruelty <\/strong>in their objective, factual alliance with the mass production of meat and milk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, the brochure shows the ways out of pesticides<\/strong>, with the alternatives<\/strong> developed in particular by organic farming<\/strong>, which is a well-trodden path that needs much more support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As far as the mobilisation of farmers at the start of 2024<\/strong> is concerned, the pressure they are exerting to maintain the use of dangerous molecules is seriously discrediting their movement and tarnishing the credibility of their leaders, who clearly lack the discernment or good faith to distinguish between economic constraints and distress that are the result of regulations that can be changed, and damage and constraints that are due to physicochemical and biological mechanisms that cannot be changed. Il n\u2019y a aucune confiance \u00e0 avoir.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Au fil des ann\u00e9es nous assistons \u00e0 des interdictions au compte-gouttes des substances pesticides class\u00e9es comme \u00e9tant les plus toxiques (CMR), comme si les autres mol\u00e9cules pesticides, qui ne sont pas sous les projecteurs de l\u2019instant, \u00e9taient acceptables (et non CMR ou perturbateurs endocriniens ou neurotoxiques\u2026). Le m\u00e9rite de mon travail est d\u2019avoir d\u00e9pass\u00e9 une telle focalisation (typiquement sur le glyphosate) en montrant que les risques sont beaucoup plus diffus que ce qu\u2019on veut nous faire croire.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ensuite, un regard sur le cadre r\u00e8glementaire<\/strong> montre les d\u00e9faillances<\/strong> et m\u00eame l\u2019escroquerie intellectuelle<\/strong> derri\u00e8re les proc\u00e9dures d\u2019homologation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n L\u2019agrochimie<\/strong>, avec ses DL50 et autres tortures d\u2019animaux, est coupable d\u2019une complicit\u00e9 de la cruaut\u00e9 <\/strong>dans son alliance objective, factuelle, avec la production de masse de viande et de lait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pour finir, la brochure montre les voies de la sortie des pesticides<\/strong>, avec les alternatives mises au point en particulier par l'agriculture biologique<\/strong>, qui est une voie d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien trac\u00e9e, \u00e0 soutenir beaucoup plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pour ce qui concerne la mobilisation des agriculteurs en ce d\u00e9but de 2024<\/strong>, la pression qu\u2019ils exercent pour maintenir l\u2019utilisation de mol\u00e9cules dangereuses discr\u00e9dite gravement leur mouvement et entache la cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 de leurs leaders qui visiblement manquent de discernement ou de bonne foi leur permettant de faire la diff\u00e9rence entre des contraintes et d\u00e9tresses d\u2019ordre \u00e9conomique qui rel\u00e8vent de r\u00e9glementations que l\u2019on peut changer, et des dommages et contraintes relevant de m\u00e9canismes physicochimiques et biologiques qu\u2019on ne change pas.
